The re-development of this property required the removal of most of the original semi-detached house that was standing on the plot due to significant subsidence and layout issues. The original semi-detached dwelling was re-built in the same external form to compliment the existing streetscape while the new side and rear extension was given licence to contrast that style.

The use of red brick with a coloured mortar was decided on to connect the building to its suburban setting.
