In a leafy part of the city, I was struck by the view to the long rear walled garden on entering the house during our first visit.

Reinforcing and increasing this connection was the driving factor behind the new layout. A large single glazed screen, acting as the rear wall of the new extension, greets you as you wander in from the front door.

It is hard not to be drawn to the gardens beyond.
